SPEAKER BIO

Mats’olo Seloanyane

Mats’olo Seloanyane is an ambitious Chemical Engineering, Ph.D. candidate from the University of the Witwatersrand in her second year of study. From a very young age, she has always devoted herself to her studies, making sure she excelled in her academic work. Mats’olo holds a Masters’ degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Petroleum Engineering.

She also has a BSc degree, double majoring in Chemistry and Biology. Because of her academic excellence, she was awarded the Postgraduate Merit Award, as well as getting an invitation into the Golden Key Honour Society.

 

Despite being in academics, she has been involved in a variety of leadership roles. She is currently the acting Chairperson of the International Students’ Sub-council at the University of the Witwatersrand. As a woman in STEM, she is very passionate about education and leadership, she one day hopes to realize her dream of empowering young girls and helping them to reach their full potentials as leaders of tomorrow.
