She has served as lecturer for fifteen years in the Fashion and Clothing Management Departments for three different universities, namely, Former Border Technikon now Walter Sisulu University, Cape Peninsula University of Technology and Durban University of Technology. She is currently serving as International Special Projects Coordinator at the International Education and Partnerships at the Durban University of Technology. She has presented papers at international conferences on clothing and textiles. She is a well-travelled academic and has visited over 18 international countries in Europe, Asia (Far East), Qatar, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Brazil and some parts of Africa.
